This year, I’m taking December 24 to January 2. I need that time to re-charge, re-organize, and watch tons of old X-Files episodes. But some folks don’t (or can’t) take that much time off. How much time do you take off for the holidays? I would love to know.

I don’t really get a break now, so I’m working as much downtime in as possible by getting lots of work done before the holiday. We’ll see if I succeed.

I’m trying to keep the client commitments contained so that I can actually not work on xmas and new years days, which I have off from my day gig. Wish me luck with that…

Business used to be slow this time of year, but somehow this year it isn’t! I’m actually hoping to kick through the projects I have on my plate now while no one else is in their offices, and take a vacation next month. We’ll see if that works…

I don’t take a set time off — I just relax the rigidity to my set schedule, and enjoy the ability to go where I want when I want. I probably will take Xmas off, though, and hit the theater and a Chinese restaurant, like all good Jews should.

Ah, Chinese food and a movie. Sounds like a Jewish Xmas. My workload generally slows down around the holidays…fortunately. So I use any down time to prepare for the coming year. Clean out files, etc. This year, I’m leaving when you are, Jenni. Not really a vacation. Going back to CO with my friend whose husband just died. Will be a bitter- sweet trip. Then home for four days and off to Palm Springs to visit family. That should be a nice way to start off the new year. Post a comment
