The Emily Post Institute has posted (pun intended) updated Holiday Tipping Guidelines for those who have provided service throughout the year (dog walker, newspaper carrier).

How does it compare with your own gifting? Does anyone have other ways of saying “thank you” during the holidays?

Very timely post, Lidia. Those are two powerful words to use year-round.

I can’t quantify how saying thank you has opened up my world. It’s surprises me time and time again how, for example, when traveling, people from other countries respond with such delight to hearing a simple greeting or “thank you” in their native language.
