Trying to figure out how a marketing team let this site get published. This could be used as a tool of torture for prisoners of war. Make someone sit and watch this for 30 minutes.

Did you mean the site I linked to? (If so, I’m sorry…. I liked them!) OR did you mean to include a link in your post? I’m kinda intrigued.

I’m SO sorry you thought I meant the site you posted. No, I like the quip site a lot. I would never do that on a blog anyway…if I didn’t like something, I’d pick up the phone or send an email. My post was a new one, not a comment on yours. I’ll try adding the link again.

no worries… i was kidding!

i think the music on the site is abysmal, but am curious what else bothered you. it didn’t seem to be THAT horrible (to me). is there some kind of marketing angle flaw that i am missing?

Why oh why must companies insist on putting crappy music on their sites??

It’s the waiting that bothers me. For example, waiting for those flaps to unfold, then waiting for the picture to focus, etc.

Matt got it (natch!). It’s those damn flaps — they take forever. And you have to watch them repeatedly every time you want to see a new image. Plus, I don’t think you can turn off the music.

What Matt said. Design should never hinder a user’s ability to reach information.
